The Pakistan- Norway Friendship Association (PANA) in Islamabad would like
to express our concern about the effects of the reprinting of caricatures of
the Holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh) in the Norwegian daily “Aftenposten”.
We believe that such provocations against Islam undermines the solid
friendship and cooperation between Norway and Pakistan. We support
inter-faith harmony and believe that any act which violates international
human rights on religious sanctity should be avoided.
PANA encourage all opinion-makers in Norway and Pakistan to assist in
building bridges between the West and the Islamic countries, not take part
in destructive acts which hinders harmony between civilizations.
